Wild Wednesday - A Visitor on our Patio
This really happened on Tuesday but I saved it for today. Our patio was host to this young deer and when I tried to quietly take the shot, she looked right at me. She was apparently enjoying chomping on some of our plants out there.
After a few minutes of staring at each other, she bounded off. I hope she comes back soon.

What Was He Thinking? The Hawk and the Mockingbird MeetThe hawk was sitting on one of his favorite spots (my neighbor’s roof where he can survey the pond and my bird feeders) and, of course, I was taking pictures of him. I spotted this mocking bird who seemed to be scolding the hawk. The mocker approached him, getting closer and closer and I was beginning to worry. But a breeze caught the hawk and ruffled his feathers and the mockingbird took flight.
