If you go to Miss Vicki’s on the River in Holiday-Florida for lunch or dinner, don’t order the Pelican on a Stick-he’ll just fly away before you get your plate. Pelican on a stick - a pretty view at Miss Vicki's on the River in Holiday-Florida is a figment of my imagination-please don't ask for it at Miss Vicki's ;). The view is real though and just wonderful on a summer evening. We were there with friends on Saturday listening to On the Dockside (a great group); and it was a wonderful place to be. pelicans: Cleared for Take Off in Holiday-Florida

We were attending a Ribbon Cutting at the Anclote Village Marina in Holiday, Florida last week (more about the Marina in another post). Of course, being a Marina it was on the water ( :-) and I was busy taking pictures of everything. I was capturing this pelican and he took off- wow, was that great timing or what? The Gulf Maritime Festival at the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs March 6-7 was lots of fun, with entertainment and great food. This guy was behind Rusty Bellies Restaurant known for it's seafood. He's no dummy! There were a lot of pelicans hanging around, waiting for a hand-out. … (6 comments)
