Why Doesn’t The HOA Allow Pick-up Trucks?
 
The best answer to that question, is because they can and they did.  Maybe when most of the HOAs that do not allow pick-up trucks were writing their rules and regs, pick-up trucks were dusty, rusty, nasty looking vehicles (at least in the eyes of the HOA writers). Think Duck Dynasty.  Now, of course, pick-up trucks can be flashy and shiny and very sexy looking. Some pick-up trucks these days cost more than the condo or home being purchased.
