What a great organization, the Bay Area Meals On Wheels is an all volunteer Corporation, and meals are delivered from 11am - 12:30pm, Monday through Griday, year round, including all holidays not falling on Saturday or Sunday.  Service is available either temporarily or long term, if conditions merit.
Currently, there are 7 routes and each one can serve up to twelve clients.
BAMOW purchases meals from Christus St. John's Hospital in Nassau Bay.  Coordinators pack the meals for transport and drivers deliver the meals to the clients home.  The routes last about 2 hours.

This is delicious, and everyone loves it, and it has to be one of the easiest cobblers to make...all in two bowls!
Ingredients: 
1c. Flour 2 t. Baking Powder 1 c. Sugar 1/2 stick margarine or butter Large can of fruit in heavy syrup (your choice, peach, cherry, blackberry) Recipe:

Finally, on Christmas Eve, I got to have some Max Brenners Chocolate Pizza.  Not exactly what I thought, it looked different on TV, but a chocolate lovers delight.  The place was jumping and they were serving chocolate delights until 11pm.  I've never seen chocolate served in so many ways! 
The chocolate pizza came with optional toppings, toasted marshmallows, peanut butter, and banannas.  This was actually a whole pizza.  One half was the toasted marshmallow only the other half was "the works".

2 1/2 C. enchilada sauce, divided 2 C. shredded turkey 1 pkg. (8oz.) Mexican style finely shredded four cheese, divided 4 green onions, chopped, divided 12 white corn tortillas (6 inch), warmed 1 large tomato, seeded, chopped 1/4 C.fresh cilantro 2 T. Italian dressing Recipe:

1lb. Butter 2c. sugar 1c. almonds (toasted in oven & grated) 1 large pkg. of chocolate chips Recipe:
Cook butter and sugar to 250 degrees.   Turn out butter and sugar on a cookie sheet and spread with a spatula.  Add 1/2 large package of the melted chocolate chips.  Turn, add other half pkg. of chocolate chips.  Sprinkle grated almonds over chocolate.

I made this one tonight, and just winged it.  It was probably the best Tilapia I've ever had.  It was so easy, this one is going to be a regular weekly dish at our house.
Ingredients:
Frozen or Fresh Tilapia Filets ( I used frozen that was individually sealed, I actually think it was better than fresh) Butter Lemon juice Old Bay Seasoning (Go easy on this spice if you don't like salt) Garlic Powder Black pepper Recipe:

This is a very old recipe.  I remember liking it as a kid, and it keeps for quite a while. Talk about easy!
 
Copper Pennies (Marinated Carrots)
 
Ingredients:
2 Cans sliced carrots
1 Onion (thinly sliced)
1 Bell pepper (diced)
1/2 c. Vegetable or Canola oil
1 c. Sugar
1-4 c. White Vinegar
1 t. each (salt, pepper, dry mustard, Worcestershire sauce)
