Currently US residents find their US dollars worth well over $1.30 Canadian.
And when it comes to purchasing recreational property in New Brunswick, Canada the US dollar advantage is attention grabbing. In my opinion New Brunswick recreational property is quite reasonably priced to begin with.
Here's an example located in beautiful Albert County, NB, close to Fundy National Park. A fifty acre woodlot, accessable from a paved public road, on the market at $22,900 Canadian.

My wife and I are traveling from Moncton to Toronto on the train. Right now we are on Train 57 in business class. I brought my laptop and I have Access to the Via WiFi on this train. I have my video camera which also takes still images. Unfortunately I forgot my adapter and my connection to transfer the images to my laptop. I'll post the pictures when I get home.

Provided the news reports are accurate, the Government of Canada made a smart move by purchasing 25 billion dollars worth of residential mortgages which are insured by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. This is a sound investment at this time because Canadian insured mortgages offer a guaranteed rate of return.
Canadian mortgage lenders will now be able to continue offering residential mortages to their homebuying clients. The world wide credit crunch might have affected Canadian mortgage lenders ability to fund residential housing purchases in Canada.
This is good news for Canadian home buyers and Canadian real estate professionals.

The World Economic Forum ranks Canada as #10 overall in their 2008-2009 Global Competitiveness Report.
Inside the report Canada achieves number one rank in three specific areas with two of these from hard data results. Canada is #1 in soundness of banks, personal computers per 100 of population and the lowest number of procedures required to start a business.
As you read this on the Internet take note that Canada ranks 6th for Internet users at 76.8 per 100 of population and ranks 10th in broadband Internet subscribers at 22.9 per 100 of population.

It's the duty and responsibility of each Agency/Brokerage to provide any and all apprenticing, mentoring and supervision of all subordinates, as written in their office policies and procedures manuals. If a subordinate licensee is unavailable or unqualified for a task, it is up to the Agency/Brokerage to provide another subordinate licensee or to look after it themselves.
Any Agency/Brokerage who does not provide adequate supervision could be subject to sanctions by their Association or Real Estate Eoard.

An extended streak of unsettled weather ended just in time for the 2007 version of what has become an annual "happening" in downtown Moncton . A portion of Main street is closed off Friday morning for an all day (and evening) cruise in of all the vehicles registered in the annual Atlantic Nationals Car Show event. The registrants are allowed to park their cars anywhere on a number of streets and parking lots in the downtown area. Then at 8 p.m. there's a Rock 'n Roll 'til Midnight Street Party.
