THE DAY AFTER THE MOUNTAIN CLOSED - Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek Mountain closed for the season yesterday. Closing Day revellers found 12" to 15" of new snow and crystal clear blue skies - until 11:00am. Then, near blizzard conditions closed the back bowls and drove many off the mountain. This is a typical closing day reminicent of 18 of 20 past closing days. We'll most likely have FEET of new snow now through May - another reason you won't find many Locals in the office for awhile.
