Summer has always been a season for yard sales, a way for people to stretch their dollar or make a few bucks while getting rid of their old stuff.
But you won't find any yard sale in the classifieds that compares to this weekend's event. This Saturday, July 7th is Southside Virginia's 100 Miles of Yard Sales. So you can take a leisurely drive through South Central Virginia, find lots of treatsures, and save a few dollars.

Saturday, July 2 - Starting at 7am
In early spring yard sale signs begin popping up all around town, as people try to clear out their unused items and make a few dollars. Many have begun rising early and attending these events in an effort to stretch their dollar. But these events are only a teaser or an appetizer shall we say, for The Yard Sale this weekend.
