One of my favorites is the annual Christmas Parade. In each community there is planning and anticipation by both the ones who enter the parade and those that plan to attend the parade. Farmville VA Spotlight Feature: Prince Edward Co Sandy River Reservoir It seemed fitting with the sun shining and the arrival of Spring a mere two weeks away that we highlight one of Farmville’s great outdoor attractions. The Sandy River Reservoir is a beautiful 740-acre lake constructed in 1994. Best known for its sport-fishing the reservoir is home to a variety of fish including largemouth bass, sunfish, crappie, channel catfish and chain pickerel. The reservoir only allows paddle boats (no motor boats). There is a boat ramp, fishing pier, parking and is handicap accessible. This beautiful lake is located in the rolling hills of the
