Today pretty much started out as normal. I'm working diligently alongside my Assistant when I receive a phone call. This young lady is interested in a property that I'd previously listed which is now being marketed as a rental by another Brokerage. I informed her that I'd sold the property and that I no longer have any information regarding the current status of the property, but would gladly assist her in contacting the current listing agent. I came across a post the other day that discussed the basis and breakdown of the mortgage meltdown. Although it was an excellent post, one of the commenters caught my attention by mentioning his/her disdain for REO and Short Sale listing agents
WHADDAYA MEAN???? As a short sale listing agent in Newnan, GA (Coweta County), I was kinda put off by his comment because he mentioned that we were profiting off of a negative situation. Funny, but I NEVER thought of it in that light. In fact, I've always felt a huge sense of accomplishment and achievement whenever I've helped (5 comments)

Growing up as a little girl in Newnan, Georgia, my mother was constantly telling my sister and I that "there's always room to share". Being the smart-mouthed analytical child that I was , I was ALWAYS coming up with various scenarios that would instantly blow her little theory to smithereens. In fact, I would always pride myself of coming up with various scenarios in which it would be absolutely silly and impossible to share (which would also explain why I was constantly being popped in the mouth)!
