Many new subdivisions sprang up over the past 10 years, but when the market slowed, new construction took a large hit.
Over the past year, the Ozark real estate market changed very little. The average sale price decreased in 2011 to $155,037 compared to $159,762 in 2010. The only major difference was the number of homes listed. Here is a comparison for 2010 and 2011:

My hubby would spend several months putting up Christmas lights at the Finley River Park when the Ozark Chamber of Commerce sponsored the lights. And many of us would volunteer to work nights collecting donations.
