Louisville, A Community for Kids
Louisville is not only a town, it is a "community".  A community that is all about families and kids and reaching out to interact and help each other.
I absolutely love a story I just read in the local paper which highlighted a special project which is being spear headed by a mom of three, Amanda Hassenstab.  She came up with a great idea of a "Community Sample Day."  It is such a great idea, and one that can only come together and actually happen in a a place like Louisville which is a Community for … (2 comments)

Downtown Louisville, CO reminded of 9/11 in a special way

Louisville's own fire station located on Main Street received a piece of history from the 9/11 tragedy ~ a piece of rusted steel ~ a remnant of the World Trade Center.  It's a reminder of all the lives lost, 10 years ago, on 9/11 and the sacrifice made by so many of New York's finest fire fighters who gave all to serve others.

The rusted segment of the world trade center will be on permanent display at the Fire Station to honor the 343 fire fighters who … (5 comments)

Boulder County Real Estate - Who is Number 1?

Money Magazine has voted Louisville, Co as the number one best place to live in the country!  This isn't the first time Louisville has received this designation from Money Magazine.
To residents of Louisville, this repeat of the designation doesn't come as any surprise.  There is just something special about Downtown Louisville beyond all of the sunshine and its proximity to Boulder and Denver.  There is a real seance of community in Louisville, which is absent from its surrounding communities.  People love to live in Louisville, but they also love doing … (7 comments)

Homes in Boulder, CO Once Again Threatened by Fire
A fire started in Left Hand Canyon in Boulder County iin the wee hours of Friday morning, March 11th, north of the Button Rock Reservoir.  As I was driving into our Keller Williams office on Friday morning, I could already see the massive plumes of smoke rising in the otherwise blue sky.
Firefighters were challenged by the high winds throughout the day on Friday making the situation more difficult and more dangerous.  Because there wasn't any storms or lightning to cause the fire, officials believe the fire was caused by humans and … (3 comments)

Downtown Louisville, CO - Neighborhood Restaurant

Having lived in Boulder County for more than 34 years, I love taking a morning to meet a friend or colleague at a local restaurant or coffee shop at least a couple of times a week.  It keeps me connected with them beyond the typical emails, facebook and phone calls.  It's a chance to set across a table from them and have a "real" conversation; eye-to-eye.
This morning, I chose The Huckleberry in Downtown Louisville, CO.  The Huckleberry is a Neighborhood Restaurantt located on main street  (doesn't get anymore downtown that that).
