realtor: Good Lenders Are Team Players - 06/30/15 01:33 AM
Buying a Home Involves Key Players
You + Lender + Realtor +Settlement Attorney

Marshall and I ratified a contract for first time home buyers. It was a particularly happy event since it was the third offer written for this couple. Their home buying experience is common, happening all over the Greater Washington DC area. Housing inventory is still low and there is stiff competition for homes in every price range.
Our home buyers bought the home they love.  It was a team effort. Here's what we did and how it could work for you.

realtor: Exclusive Buyer Agents-Who Are We? - 05/03/15 01:55 AM
Exclusive Buyer Agents work for Exclusive Buyer Brokers

At a recent Open House, my clients and I were greeted by a real estate agent. He was working for the Seller, sitting at their kitchen table. He takes my card, looks at my title, Exclusive Buyer Agent, and says, "Oh, I'm a buyer agent too."
Really?
And then to further make his point he adds, " Yea, I am a designated buyer agent. Took the course last month." My clients later asked, "What was he talking about?" An excellent question and one example of the confusion that abounds in real estate language.

realtor: Is there Radon in Your Kitchen Counter tops? - 04/22/15 10:20 PM
Some Granite Counter tops have trace amounts of uranium
Radon is produced by the breakdown of uranium

The report talks about "hot" counter tops that come from exotic varieties from Brazil … (10 comments)

Roy Baumeister, a Professor of Psychology at Florida State University, is famous for his research on self-control, motivation, aggression and self-defeating behaviors. He's written or co-written 30 books on these subjects and offers excellent insight into why we do what we do.
What Does Willpower Have to Do With Real Estate?
Turns out, willpower, self esteem, motivation and many of our behaviors dramatically impact our work.  Let's break it down:
Motivation - Real Estate Agents do not just show up for work. Our success is linked to our drive and motivation. If we just "show up" there is no … (7 comments)

Google’s Self Driving Car Accelerates Into Your Future
Earlier this year, Google showed off the first self-driving car with no steering wheel, brake or gas pedal. Today, the self-driving car technology has hit a little snag. Self-Driving cars will be tested on California roadways.  But a new testing rule, effective September 16th, requires a driver to be able to “take immediate physical control “of a vehicle on public roads. This makes perfect sense. After all

How do you insure a driverless vehicle?
