trendy dc neighborhood: Hyattsville Maryland a Trendy Neighborhood

Have you been to Hyattsville lately?
I was born in Washington DC and grew up in Prince Georges County Maryland. In the 60’s and 70’s, I remember going to Hyattsville Maryland with my grandfather to buy cars at Lustine Chevrolet. That particular stretch of Route 1 in Hyattsville, from East West Highway to the District was lined with car dealerships; thrift stores a funeral home, various small local shops and Dematha Catholic High School which is an all boy school just off Route One. Today….Hyattsville is a very different place!
