victoria henderson: Should I Test My Home for Radon?
- 01/08/18 10:34 AM
Yes! Photo by Christian Sterk on Unsplash Radon gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer, according to the National Cancer Institute. Unlike the picture above, radon gas is colorless and odorless. Radon occurs naturally. It is the decay of the elements radium, thorium and uranium in rocks and soil. But in reality, a house advertised as "completely remodeled" could have a number of big-ticket items that are either original or close to the end of their use. In fact, we find this to be true more often than not. So with that in mind... Here's what you need to look for when you see the phrase

It feels sooo good to be right! It's a little bit happy mixed with smugness and a lofty feeling of superiority. And there are so many opportunities to be RIGHT- The waiter/waitress screws up your order-Travesty! How dare they! Do they not know who I am! Are they really that stupid? Daughter finally breaks up with the nightmare boyfriend-You should have listened to my advice long ago! I saw him for who he really was, if only you could have listened to me back then! victoria henderson: 3 Most Frustrating Things About House Hunting Online
- 06/27/17 09:22 AM
90% of home buyers have searched online for homes according to the National Association of Realtors So you know, first hand, how frustrating it can be to find accurate information on sites like Zillow. For real estate professionals, these online sites, full of inaccurate and misinformation, make our job very challenging. Just last week, I met with a new buyer client who... couldn't understand why most of the houses she found online were not actually for sale Her favorite house in the online picture sold 3 months ago. - 06/20/17 10:16 AM
Single family home, condo, co-op, townhouse.... the nightmare neighbor can lurk in any living situation. So much of the home buying process focuses solely on the house. Is the house well maintained? Mowed lawns and well-maintained gardens are a good sign. Are all their cars in working order? It's

victoria henderson: Everyone Loves Garrett Park Maryland
- 06/06/17 05:38 AM
What's so great about Garrett Park? Big trees, wide streets, a sweet community within walking distance to the Marc train station, Garrett Park Maryland is a popular neighborhood just outside of the Nation's Capital. You know how you instinctively roll down your car windows when are you driving through a great neighborhood? I do this every time I'm in Garrett Park. You can hear kids playing in the park and neighbors chatting while they work in their yards. It feels like you want to walk around and explore. That's exactly what I did last weekend with home buyers who fell in love with
