basics: Going into Real Estate - Is it for you?

I had my son's basketball team over for lunch yesterday. We grilled out in the backyard and it was wonderful. The boys were outside playing basketball and football around the yard. We adults were on the deck in the backyard or inside watching whatever March Madness was on at the time. Lord love Carolina!! We better step up our game in the next few rounds!! basics: What is the REAL MEAT of our job?

I have read several posts lately about our jobs, right out of the gate, being mostly lead generation, prospecting, finding folks to buy homes, and helping them to find us with as little money spent as possible. One comment to a post said, "lead generation, that is the real meat of our jobs." One of my CRS instructors last fall said that "we are prospectors. That is what we do." I had an instructor along the way who said, "Successful agents do what unsuccessful agents feel is a waste of time." Successful gents do what unsuccessful agents feel is a waste of time. Hmmmm. You know it is the truth. What do we hate to do? Preview, make phone calls, write personal notes, etc. What do successful agents do? Preview, make phone calls, write personal notes, etc. BASICS!!!!
