baton rouge real estate: More Good News for Baton Rouge!! - 06/24/09 02:43 AM
I feel like I have been preaching for the past year and no one in the media has been listening!  Now, is just a week, we have had two POSITIVE articles reflecting what I have been saying - the economy in Baton Rouge is good and the Greater Baton Rouge Real Estate market is doing just fine!  Baton Rouge has been named the #8 city of it's size in the nation to best weather the recession.  Then a separate group, the Local Market Monitor, has just put Baton Rouge on a list of markets with the best expected performancein home prices … (1 comments)

baton rouge real estate: Let Investors Back in the Real Estate Game - 01/17/09 12:24 PM
I was just in Phoenix at the CyberStar Summit and while there visited a fellow agent in Phoneix.  He took me around to see the two bank repos he had just purchased.  They originally sold a few years back for over $200,000 and he picked up each one for under $50,000. One required about $19,000 worth of repair to put it back in good working order.  Considering the number of bank repos in that market, and across the country, isn't it about time the rules changed back to the old way where an investor could get a 30 year fixed interest … (5 comments)

While a large part of the country is experiencing a huge … (1 comments)

baton rouge real estate: Real Estate Market Continues to Thrive - 11/20/06 03:16 AM
While rest of the country is feeling the real estate slowdown, the market in the Greater Baton Rouge Area continues to thrive.  With record number of sales continuing there are price ranges that are so hot that homes don't last a week!  Even with that, however, we do have a regular market in certain sectors in our housing.  Lots of new construction continues in the surrounding parishes and low interest rates continue to fuel this market. … (3 comments)
