Florida Property Tax actions needed to be take by Florida Residents in compliance with the new Tax changes enacted on January 29, 2008 which is Amendment 1.
Portability of "Save Our Homes" benefits- Apply by March 1, 2008 to get your benefits.
If you received your homestead exemption in 2007 on a home you either sold or abandoned during 2007 and you bought another house by January 1, 2008 you can take some or all of your 'Save Our Homes' benefit to your new home but my must apply for this at your tax appraiser's office.
