speechless sunday: Speechless Sunday- Giraffes in Florida - 12/08/13 01:48 PM
Speechless Sunday- Giraffes in Florida
We took this photo on the safari ride in Animal Kingdom in Disney-world. This is our kids' favorite park in all of Disney-world.
You can also see beautiful Giraffes in the early morning along the Savannah plains right outside of your patio if you stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge which is also one of our favorite resorts to stay when we are in Disney.
You can also see Giraffes right down the street from Wellington in the Loxahatchee Lion Country Safari. You can drive through the Safari in your own car. It is a fun way to … (6 comments)

Speechless Sunday- Disneyworld - Be There in 2.5 Hours from Wellington!
We love Disneyworld. It truly is a place you can go to get away from it all and enjoy the imagination of the great Walt Disney. Here is a topiary of Pluto. How fun is this! The gardens all around the Disneyworld grounds are so enjoyable to feast your eyes on. It is a short drive from Wellington, you can get there in 2.5 to 3 hours driving time.

Speechless Sunday- Favorite Brothers!
Of course they love all their brothers. But Tristan and Joshua have quite the special bond. Here they are at Muir Woods in Mill Valley California, near San Francisco. If you visit San Francisco it is worth the trip to go to Muir Woods. The Redwoods are amazing! I was born in California near San Francisco so this is home to me. We go back to visit as often as we can in between baseball games:).

speechless sunday: Speechless Sunday- Saying Goodbye To "Abuelo" Nestor Felix Gasset - 03/24/13 12:45 PM
Speechless Sunday- Saying Goodbye to Abuelo- Nestor Felix Gasset- Nestor's father.
Nestor- we call him Abuelo- loved the beach. He was born in Cuba. His roots are from Spain and France. Most of his family left Cuba when Fidel Castro came into power. His son, Nestor Gasset, the one you all know, landed in the United States with his mother and father and brother when he was 6 years old. Whenever he was with us, we took him to the beach. In Cuba they have beautiful beaches, the closest to that are the beaches here in South Florida.
He passed away … (6 comments)

Speechless Sunday- Patrolling on Horseback
This has got to be one of the coolest things about living in Wellington Florida! You get to share the roads with the mounted sheriff! Here the sheriff patrols on horseback and we get to catch that sight every once in a while. Part of the job of the mounted sheriff of Palm Beach county is community outreach. What a great way for kids to become familiar with the county's officers. We do not have city police in Wellington. We have very low crime. We contract the police duties to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's department.

Speechless Sunday- Spring Baseball in South Florida Begins again
Nothing like a beautiful day of blue skies and cool air in South Florida to enjoy travel baseball! The weather has been perfect for baseball so far this spring. There is nothing better than seeing that big smile on the face of our son who has so much fun playing baseball. The smile confirms that it is all worth it!

speechless sunday: Speechless Sunday- Photo Fitting for a Sunday - 02/23/13 12:22 PM
Speechless Sunday- Photo Fitting for a Sunday-
I took this photo of the Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. Grace Cathedral is located on California Street near the Fairmont Hotel. Grace Cathedral is much larger than what I could take a photo of. I liked this angle though since is shows a lot of the amazing architecture.
We stay at the Fairmont Hotel when we go to San Francisco each year. One of our sons is the Chef at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco so we don't miss an opportunity to visit him and the city. Being that I lived in … (15 comments)

Speechless Sunday- Florida Backyard Nature
We love to watch the birds early in the morning especially in the winter months when we are full of 'snow birds' that have migrated from the north to warmer climates. We open up our patio in the morning, sit outside to enjoy our daily morning green juice and listen to the birds chirping and singing their songs.

speechless sunday: Speechless Sunday- Does it SNOW in West Palm Beach Florida? - 01/06/13 07:50 AM
Speechless Sunday- Does it SNOW in West Palm Beach Florida?
Well, not really but CityPlace sure does a fun job of pretending. We took our son and one of our granddaughters down to CityPlace which is about a 20 minute drive from Wellington to see the fake snow show. This is in downtown West Palm Beach Florida. You can see the snow a little in the photo. The snow is like soap. The kids said it was "bubbles".:) CityPlace is always so nicely decorated for Christmas.

Speechless Sunday- A Realtor and Mother's work is never done.
I am amazed at our daughter who has not only turned into a great mother caring for her children but also is so accomplished. She graduated this past May with her Master's Degree in Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University and then two weeks before her second baby was born she passed her Florida State Real Estate exams.

speechless sunday: Speechless Sunday- Alligators Hanging Out with the Turtles - 11/25/12 06:47 AM
Speechless Sunday- Alligators hanging out with the turtles.
Amazing, especially since turtles are prey for alligators. The reason these little alligators are sunbathing with the turtles is because the gator caretakers keep the alligators tummies full. Since alligators are rather lazy creatures they are content just hanging out:)
I took this photo at the alligator pond at the Gaylord Resort in Orlando Florida.

Speechless Sunday- San Francisco View from the Ferry-
This is one of my favorite views of San Francisco. I took this photo from the ferry on our way to Sausalito to visit my aunt and cousin. My cousin lives in Sausalito and my aunt lives in Sonoma. One of our sons lives in San Francisco. I lived in the city for about 3 years while my grandparents lived there for over 40 years and my dad and aunt grew up in the city. I was born in Stanford CA.

Speechless Sunday- San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge
Check this off my bucket list! :) We walked all the way across the Golden Gate Bridge and back again. The bridge walk is 1.7 miles one way. This has been on my bucket list for a long time. Even all the time that I lived in San Francisco and Santa Rosa and Elverta and Sonoma and Menlo Park and Stanford area I never did walk the bridge. Now living all the way across the country in Florida on our trip to San Francisco to see one of our sons- we finally walked across … (12 comments)

speechless sunday: Speechless Sunday- Trader Joe's San Francisco - 10/21/12 10:42 AM
Speechless Sunday- Trader Joe's San Francisco
This was Tristan's first time in a Trader Joe's store. This one is in Nob Hill a couple of blocks from the Fairmont Hotel where we stay when we visit San Francisco.
He found it very interesting how creative the architect for Trader Joe's was in managing the space that is tight, small and very expensive. He made comments about how the store was laid out, how the entrance and the path leading to the entrance was multi level allowing for more room to display the food products.
Just another reason why we love homeschool … (10 comments)

speechless sunday: Speechless Sunday- He remembered I liked those flowers - 10/14/12 07:59 AM
Speechless Sunday- We were doing our shopping at Whole Foods. Right in front of the store where you get your shopping cart there is this gorgeous display of white orchids. I took a photo of them. My son asked my why I would take a photo of them and I said because they were so pretty and I wanted to remember them.
Later that week Nestor and my son went to Whole Foods and surprised me with these orchids when they came home. Our ten year old remembered that I liked these orchids. It was very touching.

Speechless Sunday- Precious Moments!
Here is our youngest son holding our youngest grandson. So this is the uncle holding his new nephew. This is such a precious image of baby Noah looking into our son's eyes so intently. Our son takes such good care of his nieces and nephews. This photo was taken in August when Noah was 4 weeks new.

Speechless Sunday- Sunflowers For Sale In San Francisco-
Sunflowers make me smile. The vibrant colors boasting with boldness and the strength they exhibit really speak to you. My mother loved sunflowers and lilacs. She painted a lot of Sunflowers. Perhaps those memories also create that feeling of wonder and appreciation when I am around sunflowers.
We took this photo down at the Farmers Market in San Francisco on the bay this August.
