When the weather warms up, a favorite place I like to take my daughter in Richmond, VA is Maymont. I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve been there, but it never gets old. Maymont originated as a 100-acre estate belonging to James Henry and Sallie May Dooley. After both of them passed away, the estate was left to the City of Richmond, as they had no heirs or children. It’s finally warming up in Richmond VA! Aren’t you glad? I couldn’t be happier. If you’re looking for some fun things to do with the kids to celebrate Easter in RVA, I’ve put together a list of events for you below:
Last year I took Darby to the Easter Egg Hunt at Tuckahoe Planation and it was a blast. It wasn’t very crowded as I heard the Maymont Egg Hunt can be, and the setting was beautiful.
