The Catch of The Day at the San Diego Bay Harbor ! So what's better than just seeing something that is truly awesome! Answer: Being able to share it with friends and family here in the Rain. Yesterday on the 4th of July, I encountered one of the most stunning vessels I have ever seen up close and personal. Despite is size, Downtown San Diego is still growing. This shot was taken from the new San Diego Pedestrian Bridge ( One of the largest of it's kind) on a Sunday afternoon that links Petco Park and the San Diego Convention Center on the Bay. There are plans underway to expand the San Diego Convention Center and to create a substantial grassy common area on the top of the new expansion.

Finally, We Are Now Connected..... You are looking at the tip of the 130 foot Pylon supporting the 550 foot span of the San Diego Suspension Pedestrian Walking Bridge. The new Bridge connecting the San Diego Convention center and Petco park will have its first trial on Padres Opening day this Tuesday, April 5th. It one of the longest suspension pedestrian bridges in the world and officially becomes a landmark for San Diego this week.

One of the wonderful visuals in San Diego is the often found in interplay of art and architecture. Here is a sculpture at the back of the San Diego convention center that for as many times as I had been there, I actually had never noticed. While out taking photos along the Marina on the Bay, I looked up and this piece of art was positioned beautifully in the line of sight to the Harbor towers.
