Yes, this is a rant! And it is a rant with a purpose, not just to get something off of my chest! While rants like those are certainly cathartic, they don't do much for anyone else but the ranter - unless, of course, someone else is having or had similar experiences that the ranter is ranting about...did I just use the word rant over five times in that last sentence? You know, with all that snow now melted away and saturating the ground, with the sun now beaming warmly upon us up here in the northeast corner of the U.S., it certainly is a time for some positive changes to occur for all homeowners - and especially for those who are, or have been, attempting to sell in these tough economic times. I am a teacher in an urban high school, as well as a realtor, and I really don't believe that I didn't think of this before. I was reading and commenting on a recent post by Matt Stigliano about Growth Leader's response to a suggestion he made on his blog. I do believe that their response made Matt's day. This must be the day for reviving old blog posts, it seems. I noticed on the weekly/daily (?) Active Rain newsletter that gets delivered to my e-mail today several "old" posts, ones that I had already read, bookmarked, and commented on - and yet, there they are again! However, I don't say this in jest, or with tounge-in-cheek: some blog posts DO bear repeating. Especially for those of us who are just starting out, and for those who need some helpful reminding of all of the wonderful gems here on Active Rain. I had written a post some weeks ago, Outside of the Box..., in which I expressed my frustration with finding many of my colleagues' only use of AR for promoting their listings.
