Proudly serving those who serve us! What is a Hometown Hero and why do I love to serve them? A Hometown Hero is someone who is in a profession that serves the rest of us in some capacity. The most obvious heroes are those that have served or are currently serving in any branch of the military, and the second most obvious hero is one who has decided to make a career out of keeping us safe on a civilian level or responding to emergency situations that put their own lives at risk, these are primarily the police officers, firefighters and EMT's.
