In February of 2002, I heard David Knox speak about goal setting. If you've ever heard David Knox speak, you are certainly aware of his clever delivery and voice impressions! He's great!
When speaking about the importance of goal setting he mentioned

1. The most obvious outcome that comes to mind, is the REWARD of accomplishing goals. Often times the accomplishment of reaching the goal is the REWARD in and of itself. A lot of people don't believe in the power of setting goals and most of them get exactly to the place they were planning... Nowhere!
I believe goals must be attainable, not always reached necessarily, but certainly realistic!
There are 3 outcomes of achieving goals that are worth their weight and then some, just from taking a little thought time and jotting some goals on paper:

I will be presenting motivational messages from time to time to my agents in our Tuesday morning office meetings.
I ran across John Maxwell's Five Steps to success (He may call it something different).  I will be sharing this with my agents this week:
