Today I sat down with great friends who shared with me about the need Realtorshave for using quickbooks and accounting in their business. Your statements need to be reconciled properly, make sure all your deposits havebeen entered, your checks that you've written have been entered into the system,all your receipts have been entered and are accounted for. These are just simple rules and steps but you'd be surprised how many agents arebehind in these tasks. I have to say that hearing from an agent in the e-mail or over the phone - you have to giveme the "Highest and Best" offer is getting old for me. Sometimes I wonder if they really have as many offers as they pretend to have. You see the listing come back on the market and stay on themarket for months but the minute you bring them the offer - they tell you - we have multiple offersand you need to "GIVE US your HIGHEST and BEST offer". Well, I spent my Saturday this week at another class - learning more about Short Sales. I have to saythat my instructor was the BEST in the business - Angie Mezza Smith with Virtual Properties. She is truly a great instructor. But as she said... in today's market - what is happening today in our marketis like CANCER... and it is spreading, spreading and spreading more and more and growing arms andlegs. Today I was coming back from Helen, Georgia and was going down on GA 400. All of a sudden I had blue lights right behind me flashing. I knew I was notspeeding, I knew I was not in a hurry and that I couldn't have done anythingwrong to break the law so I was puzzled why I was pulled over.
