I have always referred to the spring real estate market in Atlanta as the "Spring Bounce!" I call it that because the market is known to jump from dead to red hot overnight! May and June are normally our biggest months for closings, but not so this year. In the heat of the Spring market there is normally no time to take care of personal items, until the home buying and selling frenzy subsides.

I was just checking the FMLS Hotsheet tonight and noticed there are now over 87000* ACTIVE Atlanta homes for sale and Atlanta real estate properties! By anyone's standard that is a lot of Atlanta homes to sell considering we are only selling about 3500 a month! Even if we were selling 4000 homes a month in Atlanta, that would still give us over 21.75 months of home inventory. It will not officially post until later this month, but sales levels of Atlanta homes for sale are way off, and there may not be major adjustments to the sales numbers.
