Inspired by my Active Rain friend, Roy Kelley, I needed to see the beauty in the impatient right outside my door. It is a dreary and rainy day here in Lancaster, PA. But there is always beauty surrounding us, if we just open our eyes. This impatient is not afraid to show it off. Her beauty is stunning and the rain drops glisten. Do you see her beauty?

positive thinking in lancaster: Can You Stop BEACHING the Whale?

I have been contemplating the relationship between one's outlook and the attraction of positivity or negativity in one's life. Is it easier to BEACH the whale than to get the whale in the water? I wonder. What do you think? As I prepared for this post, the thought crossed my mind, can I describe negative scenarios and not be guilty of BEACHING that whale. Again, I wonder. I read a blog describing negative behaviors one agent experienced in other agents and using that as a rationale to not attend closings. Saying "Thank you" I picked up my copy of Guidepost magazine today and was inspired by an article in the May issue entitled, Thank you!, written by John Kralik. He described a point in his life where he was depressed and not feeling positive about his life. Everything seemed to be out of sorts. As an antidote, he resolved to write thank you notes to persons each day of the next year. This simple act began to change how he viewed his life and transformed him. This is one of the laws of BOLD - the training I am currently taking. I have intuitively understood this truth, but it is being driven home more forcefully than ever before. If a person focuses upon those things which are wrong, bad, not up to satisfaction, problems, then all of life seems to take on this focus. Problems seem to magically appear when life seemed ok. If one accentuates the positive in others, in yourself, in business, in the circle of friends with which one associates, then magically life takes on a completely different focus.
