Have a happy and safe Independence Day celebration! July 4, 2012 is a bit different here in Southwestern Illinois. We've had severe and hot temperatures, and it's been very dry. Several towns have cancelled the yearly fireworks show for fear of starting fires. That won't dampen our spirits! Though the real estate market in O'Fallon, Illinois is not as badly affected as some markets in the country, this is good news nonetheless to Bank of America consumers (and their agents) facing short sales in Southwestern Illinois. Bank of America just announced a new Short Sale Process. You may have heard it already but BofA is changing their short sale process and documentation drastically to streamline the process to reduce the approval porcess to only 20 days. YES 20 days!!

A Pleasant Day in O'Fallon, Illinois It's hard to believe that here we are, almost mid-June, and the weather is perfectly pleasant today. We've had searing heat in the high 90s and high humidity for the last two weeks. The kind of temperature that saps your energy when you're outside and makes you feel like you're in a sauna. It's typical here in O'Fallon, Illinois but one can't get used to it. Wine, Dine & Jazz in Belleville, Illinois Summer is truly here in Southwestern Illinois when festivals, parades, and outdoor wining, dining, and jazzing are weekly events. All you need to do is show up, bring your own lawn chairs, and enjoy food and music, and wine, too. A Heated Festival in Collinsville, Illinois I love summers in Southwestern Illinois, not for the searing temperature and high humidity that can wilt those who aren't used to it, but for the various activities and festivals in many townships and villages. It's the time for festivals, outdoor picnics, sailing, fine art shows, and parades for families, residents, and visitors.

WOW. Is one of the words that I can say out loud about this blogging challenge. I dared myself to do it, since writing was not my favorite subject back in the college days, or any day for that matter. It's an exercise that I probably won't impose on myself again any time soon... unless there's 3,000 points (or more) involved. LOL Well, how does it feel? Relieved and apprehensive at the same time.
