With the economy improving, buying a residential rental property could make good business sense, however you still need to buy in the right areas of the DFW Metroplex.
1) Buy a rental property near where you live so you can keep better track and respond to a renter's needs in a timely manner.
2) Buy where jobs are more plentiful and income is rising.
3) Don't buy a rental property with a pool. (unless you want to throw you money into it).

One of the biggest things to happen recently in home building north of highway 380 is the opening of Light Farms in Celina, Texas. This 908-acre Master-Planned Community is located in Collin County, Texas, with schools in the acclaimed Prosper Independent School District. The development will include a 102-acre regional park, a community center, Junior-Olympic pool and recreational pool, fitness center, neighborhood parks, green spaces, lakes, natural waterfalls, and hike-and-bike trails. A unique aspect of Light Farms in Celina, Texas are the two meticulously restored barns obtained from upstate New York that are to be incorporated into the design of the main amenity center and sales office. Light Farms is ideally (1 comments)

As a Frisco, TX REALTOR® it is always tough fitting in our family vacation with work as the summer months are my busiest work weeks of the year, especially before the children return to school which this year is August 27th 2012 for Frisco ISD. This year we choose to take our vacation the week before the children return to school and as all my children's passports have expired and it costs over $120 to renew each one ( I have three children) we decided to do a (0 comments)
1. Plan a walking route to school or the bus stop. Choose the most direct way with the fewest street crossings and, if possible, with intersections that have crossing guards. 2. Walk the route with your child beforehand. Tell him or her to stay away from parks, vacant lots, fields and other places where there aren’t many people around. 3. Teach your child never to talk to strangers or accept rides or gifts from strangers. Remember, a stranger is anyone you or your children don’t know well or don’t trust. (0 comments)
Do you know anyone who is renting in Frisco, TX right now? I would like to start by saying that even though now is a great time to buy from a financial standpoint I understand that due to some peoples personal circumstances renting may temporarily be the right thing for them. However with that said some people wait to purchase a home until the "right time". They may want to rent to clean up credit, get to know a city before buying there, or have a change in family dynamics. All are (2 comments)
