Having worked with hundreds of Realtors over the past 3 years and helping them refine their website strategies, I realize that the simple truth is the simple things get looked over too easily. Before you worry about "long tail keywords" "meta tags" or inbound one way hyperlinks with or without nofollow tags, you need to get back to basics.
Simply put, if you want visitors who are interested in buying in a specific community, like my target market is Yucaipa, then you actually need to add content about that city to your website. Create a city page that has unique relevant information … (9 comments)

There has been quite some buzz out on the blogs about how social media methods are being tapped by larger companies who already have traffic flowing to their site to increase the interaction they have with their clients, and keep them coming back to their site. Trulia.com has expanded on their very well done property search system, and created a community on their site.
I think that this was a great move, because honestly, they took quite a chunk of traffic away from individual Realtor sites, but now they are providing a great service to both home seekers and to Realtors. … (2 comments)

I have been developing my Yucaipa real estate site for just about 6 months now, and I have successfully havested 8 leads, and 1 that actually seems like it may turn into an actual transaction. I have spent a large number of hours on my site, adding content, checking my stats for inbound links, adding pictures, checking my stats for traffic to specific pages, adding proper header tags, checking my stats for 404 errors, socially marketing my site, checking my stats for referring urls...checking my stats on google sitemaps, checking my stats for my rankings...check my stats
