SILVER DOLLAR CITY's WILDERNESS CHURCH It was such a beautiful day in the Ozarks, 50 degrees in late December. Silver Dollar City was calling out our names. Rick and I have enjoyed attending the Wilderness Church service on Sunday mornings whenever we go to Silver Dollar City. As I have shared before I have very deep roots at Silver Dollar City.
The Wilderness Church was moved to Silver Dollar City 51 years ago from a location only a few miles away. When they purchased the church it was already 160 years old. Growing up, my parents would (0 comments)

Well, here it is Sunday night in Springfield, MO and there is still so much to do! I managed to have another working weekend along with an Open House. I have made my list for the upcoming work week and put up the Christmas tree. Yippee! Here's the thing, I am horrible about wanting to decorate the Christmas tree before December 1st. Once it comes, I feel like I am running down a tall mountain in front of a big, wet snowball. I almost see it as wasted effort, if I don't get it done before my so call deadline. What is going on this weekend around Springfield, Mo? Well there is LOTS to do, free and for a price! No matter what you choose, make it fun and exciting and most of all memorable. There is the 14th Annual Ozarks Celebration on the MSU campus at 901 S. National. It is an ice cream social and a Concert Under the Star 5:30 to 10pm on September 9th. Bands include Big Smith. Recommend you bring a lawn chair or a blanket to enjoy the concert! Activities continue September 10th 11am to 5pm, with music, kid's games and crafts and even (3 comments)
In my opinion, there are lots of great places in the US and abroad. I have traveled throughout my life, and I choose Springfield, Mo as my home!
Love the 4 seasons, Summer being my favorite. I love the gorgeouos mountains, the calmness of Table Rock Lake, the festivies of the little towns around, the persuit of education with so many colleges and universities, and KC and St. Louis being only 3 hours away.
