Today I get to show new clients property for the first time in Montrose Colorado. They are coming in from Montana and Relocating to Montrose. The interesting thing about all this is the properties we will be viewing. They are all foreclosures and under $100,000 dollars. I can remember not that long ago when you could not find a property even close to $100,000. When it rains it pours. Montrose Colorado seems to be getting some positive Real Estate activity. What a great day, multiple calls, showing property and offers coming in. The day started off with all my technology -computer, office phone system down and chaos. I had 3 phones lines ringing while on my cell phone. I started off the day on floor duty with a bum phone in my office. Had to set up showings for other agents and also get prepared for an overseas client. We had a very busy week this past week. We seem to be thawing out in terms of activity. Our RE/MAX office in Montrose Colorado, had a lot of showings set up and some contracts coming in. Well another year gone by and standing on the threshold of the new one, we have great expectations for the year to come in spite of the economy. We ultimately are transactionists, and there will be transactions. The corporate earnings were up last quarter on the basis of layoffs. What this means is that companies were able to produce the same amount of goods with less workers. This leads to a reduction of inventory and hopefully orders for increased production and new hiring. Our economic slowdown should turn the corner and the national housing market should begin to rebound in the fall. … (4 comments)
