home staging: House Beautiful Staging Tips with Starr Osbourne - 03/17/14 05:34 AM
Love this tip. Light is psychological too. A light, bright room is so much more appealing. Even realtors who see homes all the time get a lift from a well lit, cheery room. I'm a green realtor. I hate wasting energy. But when you sell, leave all the lights on!
Bring in the light. "Light sells," says Osborne. Unless you have a really bad view, let your windows breathe, Osborne says. Get rid of the curtainsand drapes, and open the sheers. In addition to natural light, make sure that every room has three sources of artificial light, not including overhead fixtures, says Osborne; … (0 comments)

home staging: HGTV is not Staging...it is Decorating... - 10/07/10 07:44 AM
I love HGTV...and like so many other fans, I love the last five minutes when the designers "reveal" the redecorated space. home staging: Does your seller have money to sell--Take 2... - 06/22/10 05:29 AM

This post is totally different: It is about sellers who refuse to spend money to make their homes show at their best. Barb Schwartz of stagedhomes.com says it so well: You would not try to sell your car without getting it detailed...why try to sell your home without cleaning, painting and decluttering? I am constantly frustrated by sellers who resent it when I suggest they paint and box up 1/3 … (1 comments)

home staging: Home Staging That Works by Starr Osborne - 03/26/10 07:38 AM
Greater Philadelphia Pennsylvania stager Starr Osborne of Tailored Transitions has written a new paperback that we can give all our sellers: Home Staging That Works: How to get your house sold faster and for more money. My client wanted a high sale price but hesitated to pay several thousand dollars for staging. I took a gamble and paid for it myself! It was a great gamble. The … (1 comments)
