My client is buying a fixer down the street from where she lives now. She wants to downsize and totally renovate the house, while living in her present home. The houses are on street with lots of foot traffic. The next door neighbor is a friend who is home a lot--so she can kind of keep an eye on the vacant house. What say you all? Should the buyer consider a security system? Should she go video--with Comcast or Verizon?

My buyers have been looking for a house for more than a year! They finally decided on new construction. We just got the radon results back and they were as high as I have ever seen! 60 picocures in the basement! Two days later, the seller put in a radon remediation system. I'm not a scientist. Of course, I told them you can retest. The builder gave me this advice: "In 40 years in the business, I have learned that the less you say, the better." Don't you love it when a seller gets behind your marketing efforts? My Mt Airy seller has been fabulous! His late sister's home sits up 25 steps. The hill affords privacy and a lovely view of the sunset but the steps are a pain. After 19 years of living and working in the house, his sister had accumulated plenty of stuff. The first time I saw the place, I could tell right away that the family had already removed a lot of things. Stager Jessica Endy, however, still saw a lot of clutter.
