san jose condos and lofts: Buying a Home in Today’s Market Can Lead to the 5 Stages of Grief - 12/29/21 11:16 PM
Here’s How To Survive Them
As the housing market has become extraordinarily competitive and expensive, it is often taking an emotional toll on folks who are finding themselves mourning the loss of these homes that they loved—and then lost.
“People are envisioning life in these spaces,” says therapist Tiffany Lovell, who is based in the suburbs of Bismarck, ND. “They can see their stuff in there and all of these moments and memories happening. When that doesn’t happen and they don’t get the house, then all of that gets stripped away. It puts them into the grief cycle.”

san jose condos and lofts: Do you want to live where Elon Musk did? - 10/27/21 11:54 PM
Do you want to live where Elon Musk did? All it takes is some $31,990,000.
This is actually 3rd time this home is on the market in the past 17 months.
You may ask… why didn’t this home sold?
In the first attempt Musk decided to try to sell via “for sale by the owner” route which didn’t work for him and he simply asked interested buyers to call him directly. You probably ask how? I am not sure either!!! But as in most for sale by the owner situations he eventually withdrew this home and re-listed with a licensed real estate … (0 comments)

san jose condos and lofts: Going, going.... almost gone!!! - 10/03/19 02:36 PM
Did you know that SP78 is 70% sold? Homes in the area are selling so take advantage of low inventory. Currently we only have 61 active condos and homes. Most of the year we are closer to 80. In the sellers market about 2 years ago we maintained mostly around 34 homes on average. So things are well balanced right now. It does take little longer to sell at the moment than what we were used to for past 7 years but it is only because buyers are making decision slower. The low interest rates are bringing buyers in. If you … (0 comments)

san jose condos and lofts: Everybody Calm Down! This Is NOT 2008.  - 09/09/19 03:09 PM
Almost every day or open house I cross buyer that mentions... "recession".
Last week realtor.com released the results of a survey that produced three major revelations:
1. 53% of home purchasers (first-time and repeat buyers) currently in the market believe a recession will occur this year or next.
2. 57% believe the next recession will be as bad or worse than 2008.
3. 55% said they would cancel plans to move if a recession occurred.

Most experts, however, believe if there is a recession, it will not resemble 2008.
As we look ahead to the next recession, it’s important to recognize how unusual the conditions were that … (1 comments)
