Schmap.com is a site with lots of fun ways to use maps and guides. You can download over 200 city guides, put maps in your tweets, create map and site widgets for your blogs and websites, share your maps, reviews and travel plans to mention just a few of the creative things you can do with their innovative technology. You can create your own schmap.me page - soooo very easy to do -with your own unique name. See an example at www.schmap.me/alexsapdx.
Here's how!
Create your personal schmap.me page to share with others. The page will display your map and contacts on a PC or Mac, and almost any mobile device (iPhone, BlackBerry, etc). You can use your page on Skype, MSM, AIM, add to an email signature or include in a text. And it's all free!
Go to the Schmapme page.
Look for the Check to see if your name is available box in the lower right hand corner.
Type in your name of choice, check to see it it's a go - you'll get a green background - and click Grab it!
You'll get a page asking you to fill in your details
That's it. Your location map will fill in once you enter the personal address you want to use.
After you're finished, you'll get a confirmation email with all the info needed for editing, customizing a map badge, adding schamp.me to your email signature and more.
