CHANGING BROKERS

By
Real Estate Agent with EXCELLENCE EMPIRE RE

HELLO, I AM DANNY AND I WILL BE CHANGING BROKERS IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS.  HAS ANYONE CHANGED BROKERS HERE AND IF SO, WHAT CAN I EXPECT.  I WILL DEFINITELY CHANGE ALL OF MY PROFILES TO THE NEW BROKERS  INFORMATION.  BUT HOW ABOUT EXISTING  REO LISTINGS AND REO PRE-LISTINGS.  I WOULD BE GLAD TO HEAR FROM YOU.

THANKS

This really will depend on the brokerage that you are with. With Keller Williams you leave and take all of you listings with you even though they technically "belong to the broker". It's just the way the Keller Williams works on a naitional level. They believe that the listings belong to the agent that got them, not the "broker", so you leave and they leave with you.

I agree with Brian, I would check your agreements the listings may not belong to you, some banks will not move the listings at all so if you leave tehy stay or get reassigned.

If your broker is fair you'll take most of them with you.  Any REO assignments however may not be as easy leave with.

Good Luck and hope the grass is greener. I find changing brokers doesn't change a person. Keep in touch and let us know how it goes.

Hi Danny, how did it work for you?

Being offered better terms and relocation~ I think are two main reasons for moving. What are yours?
