With the media yelling and screaming about how aweful ewverything is right now, it's a nice thing to know that they are all full of it. Our housing market has been, and continues to basically go sideways, with monir movements up or down. Don't get caught up in the hooey when they scream at the top of their lungs that we're all going to die and it's going to be a slow painful death. Instead take heart in the fact they ain't gotta clkue and tehy are all going to fall into a pit because you have the blind leading the blind in their case.

From what I can see after reading and listening to everything from the people I trust, it appears this year is going to pretty flat as far as home appreciation is concerned. They also tell emthat the market will pick up again by the beginning of the year if not a bit sooner and the market will continue in an upward trend for 2008.

Try not to get confused by these people because tehy do have an agenda that does not iclude any good news about anything until we change parties in teh white house. Must be fun being them these days.

 Regards,

Ed

Appreciation may be "flat" but the replacement values continue to climb.  At some point the replacement values (Insurance value of a home) and the market value of the home need to stay get inline.  I'm constantly amazed at the sales prices compared to home replacement values.  The diffence in numbers is oh so close in the "resales" market.

Hi Ed,

Welcome to the ActiveRain Blog network.
Shortly after I started blogging on Active Rain, I wondered how some features worked or how to do some of the things others were using in their posts.

I searched the site and could not find the "Operating Manual".

I asked some questions to other bloggers and soon realized the the power was in the network since most questions had already been answered by other users.

If you find yourself in this situation and have some questions, visit the post below and you will find tips, info and many features of ActiveRain that have been documented by other members.

Nice having you on board,

Welcome Ed!

It took you a while but you are finally here!

I'm interested in how that marketing project we discussed was working for you?

Any results yet?
