Sea Grill Closing it's Doors on Sunday

South Sound Eats is reporting that Sea Grill, owned by Seattle's Mackay Group (they own the very fancy El Goucho) will be closing it's doors at the end of this weekend.

I'm never happy to see a restaurant close downtown, and I'm sorry to see them go.  For anyone looking for a great place to replace it- I recommend Pacific Grill across the street.   Their dinners are excellent, but honestly, I spend most of my time working my way through their extensive happy hour menu.  You can get 2 glasses of good red wine and a plate of Pasta Arrabiata for under $20.

If you would like to support Mackay Group's efforts in Tacoma, El Gaucho has a pretty great happy hour also, offering affordable deliciousness from 4-6pm & 10pm-Close.

That's kind of a bummer to hear that a nice restaurant is shutting down after such a short time being open.  Then again, I've eaten there once for lunch when I worked downtown and I'm a bit on the frugal side - opting for one of a kind Tacoma places like Pho Bac, Vien Dong, and Tacos Guaymas for a quick (and cheap) bite.
