cheap housesIts so obvious but, many people don't know that we need to market it.

The obvious message here is cheap houses available in all area's well duh!! But the simple fact is that very few people are getting the message out.

Its so inexpensive to do, no high cost 800#'s with a monthly charge just slap your message on a piece of plastic or wood set it in a good location and the calls come rolling in to you.

Most people are pleasantly surprised that they get to speak to a real person!

 Be packed with information and know the area you are placing your message in and you will be surprised how much people warm up to you.

Finally, they are speaking to a Pro!! And lets face it, most all the area's out there have Short Sales and Foreclosed properties so you have an endless supply of cheap houses. Not to mention an endless supply of well qualified buyers for when you go on listing appointments you can show to your sellers.

The above sign cost me about $1.85 to produce and in the first week received 212 phone calls, some pan out and some don't its a numbers game.

Sure you can and you won't want to use anything else. makes sure you place it in a spot were cars have to slow down or come to a stop so they have time to read it and copy your number.

There shouldn't be any maybes! Let me ask you this how many agents are fighting for buyer calls in your office? With this the calls come directly to you, it frees up a tremendous amount of time for you as well you can give up floor time because the buyers will be an endless supply. Just remember to have many of them because the tend to get taken down, so low cost is the way you want to go.

Mine goes to my cell phone so I always have a record of their number and when I stop working for the day it goes to voice mail. Believe me they will leave a message because, you have what everyone wants, Cheap Houses

Gary,

Does this violate any licensure rules & regs?  I know that when I advertise I must include my company name and phone number in larger print than my own. Just a thought.

You didn"t  see the back of the sign it does state that but it does say that the two must be on the same side.

I  wish we could do something like that here, but in Alabama we must have our company name on any advertising we do.

If you take a closer look at the sign it offers general information not a full name of any kind. And if you take a closer look at the bottom of the sign you see writing but unless you are on top of the sign you will not know what it says. It has the company name written there. I checked with the Real Estate commission and in our state this is perfectly legal.

Believe me, I am not about to do anything that will jeopardize my license. I have the Real Estate Commission on speed dial on my cell and am always asking them questions.

And what's stopping you from making up a sign with your name and company name on it with the phone number going directly to you? Hand written signs gets more attention than printed signs, printed signs are everywhere and the mind learns to block them out, that's why I use hand written signs so the minds eye picks up on it.

Hi Gary--That's an interesting approach.  CA has very specific regs on company info on signs, but I'm sure there's a way to incorporate!

The beautiful part about this sign is that it looks like some kid wrote it or an individual, definitely not a company or a corporation. Its design is to break the mental block of constantly seeing professionally produced signs. Its a real attention grabber.

Hi Gary, that is one unique prospecting idea!  The word does need to get out, though.  Not only the word we hear too often about how the market has gone down, but the opportunities in this market.  The faster people buy up these great real estate deals, the sooner the market will recover!

 I agree we need to clear out the inventory and stimulate the economy. It will take a few years for this to happen so in the mean time keep racking up the sales.

It's a great idea but be careful in my area alot of cities have ordiinances against these types of signs. I am going to che new city that I moved to and see what they say

I have been getting told this a lot, I have my calls going to my cell phone number, you could always have the calls go into voice mail and then screen the calls from there.
