Home on the market for 18 months, smart owner turns to staging for help!!!

By
Home Stager with Ready Set Stage

Hi Everyone,

This home has been on the market for 18 months.  The homeowner has moved to Charlotte already, but thought maybe staging would be the edge she needed to get this thing sold.  I suggested changing some light fixtures and painting the powder room.  The painter is there today painting, so I don't have a before and after of that.  We also changed the cabinet pulls in the kitchen from brass to brushed nickel and also some of the swichplates from brass to white.  She could only budget to stage 3 rooms and the masterbath, but I think it turned out nice and I hope it helps the seller.  Andrew will take pictures Monday, which are always fun to see.  I'm sure he will share them with you this week.  Here are mine.  Let's all pray for a quick sale for this lady.  As always, thanks for your support!!!!

Chrissie ~ I really like how you brought the red from the dining room (I'm guessing) into the other rooms.  I think that even the rooms you did will help.

Chrissie - Nice work!  I really like the family/living room.  The dark furniture adds much needed depth.

The before pictures with little or nothing in the room just cannot compare to your beautiful full staging. People won't be able to resist this home now!

Chrissie, You certainly warmed up this home. It shouldn't be on the market much longer now that you've added your magic touch! Good luck!

It's gorgeous!  I love the reds you used to draw the eyes from one room to the next.  Your furniture and placement is perfect as well! SCORE!  I'm sure this house will sell quickly!

Great post... it makes all the difference!  And I had never really thought about how it does benefit both parties!

I'll bet there are more showings on the home now that it's been staged.   Did you provide photos to the listing agent?

Hey Chrissie:

Another superb job, I look forward to capturing this on Monday for you and see if I can't improve on your pictures...you're getting pretty darn good.  =)

The one thing that struck me was the dining room light change.  The phrace "turn that frown upside down," came to mind.

Kathy, Thanks for featuring this post.  It's always an honor

Sharon-We just finished staging a couple days ago, the pictures aren't posted to the MLS yet, but hopefully soon there will be a sold sign in the yard.
