Reciprocal Links are the way to go!!!
I believe that as long as you use real estate related websites then you will not be pegged as a link farm. I notice that a good portion of websites that are page 3 or higher have some kind of reciprocal links. Reciprocal linking is very easy to do. Just ask any independent website if you can have your link put on their website and do the same for them.
