Thinking of Moving ? Consider Keller, Texas... Named One of America's Top-Rated Smaller Cities !

Keller, Texas... has just so many great things going for it.  Well... it seems that someone else besides local Keller-ites have noticed.  Keller... a thriving "smaller city," and a suburb of Fort Worth, Texas, was recently named one of the Top-Rated Smaller Cities in America.  Keller is just west of Southlake, Texas... and just south and east of the Alliance Corridor area of North Texas.

The fact that Keller is well-known for it's superb school system, it's great shopping, and it's active but reasonably-priced housing neighborhoods, it's great high school sports teams, and the fact that Lake Grapevine is just a few miles away... all contributed to Keller being part of this celebrated group of cities.

Other cities in Texas named to the list are three other North Texas cities besides Keller... Allen, McKinney and Flower Mound.  Two cities in the greater Austin area... Round Rock and Cedar Park made the list, along with Friendswood, League City and Sugar Land... three suburbs of Houston... also made the list.

Many folks outside of Texas may think Texas is either a state fully of cowboys and cactuses... or huge cities like Fort Worth, Dallas, San Antonio, Houston and Austin... but for those seeking a less hectic place to live... Texas has those, too.

Keller is a great place, Karen Anne, and sure has grown up in recent years. Like you said not everyone wants to live in a big city and there are lots of small towns like Keller that are close by.

Ricki:  Keller is a not a really "small" town... but many parts of it still have a small-town feel to it.  I think that's one of the reason's why it is so popular.  Thanks for commenting.  Hope all is well with the two of you.  Take care...

I am from Monahans, TX but, live in NW Ark at the moment. I want to move back to Texas (sooner the better) and my wife insist that we must be near medical and shopping (typical Lady). I am trying to find some open land that will allow me to build a nice (smaller) country type home for our retirement. I have property in Arkansas that I will be glad to put in the deal if someone is interested in helping me with this. I would like a couple acres (no ranch at this late date) and something that requires less upkeep. I love Texas and my wife loves Keller so..............who knows it might work..
