Staging Vanilla Boxes

Walk down the hall of this vacant house, look into the rooms and this is what you see. The rooms are freshly painted and carpeted. They are in mint condition, but they are bland. They have no character, and you can hardly tell which one is which.

They are three scoops of vanilla ice cream waiting to become a sundae. So let's get some toppings!

You are so right.   You put the colors on the Ice Cream and made it a Sunday.  (I'm getting punchy :-)   )

I do miss the art work on the walls.  That would really spice it up

HI Laurie, simple and effective changes to take a bland, boring space and add some life to it allowing potential buyers to see how they could be living in this house. Great work.

It's been proven that Americans love bright colors. You've really brought it to this property! Nice and bright and cheerful.

Virginia - We would have liked to put art on the walls, but the budget we had was cut to the bone, so we let the windows do the work as wall-art. It made for a small sundae, just a little something sweet to spark the imagination. Thanks for stopping by!

Michelle - Not only were the rooms bland, they are small, so the staging not only made them interesting, but proved that furniture would actually fit in them. Thanks for the encouraging words!

Peg - I'm glad you like it! Thanks for commenting!

Donna - These rooms were so much alike that we had trouble telling the before pictures apart. A little bit of furniture makes a difference! BTW, we consider this a "light staging" in the spirit of your blog a few months ago on that subject. Thanks for the inspiration, and for the comment!

Laurie -- I love your comparison -- great imagery and post.  I understand what it's like to work with a tiny budget -- and you did wonders!
