Today was the mandatory orientation class for new Realtors, starting at 9 and ending at 4. I was ready for a long and boring day learning even more about license law, agency and tons of dry info about the code of ethics. I didn't expect anything incredibly productive to happen today... but it did!
During the first break I turn my phone on and I have a message from Pam Pugmire in Idaho with Bridgetower Real Estate. She said she has a lead for a buyer in Fort Wayne and wondered if I would be interested. OF COURSE! THANKS PAM!!!!
After my lunch I go back to the training with coffee in hand to try to stay awake. Okay... only 3 more hours. ZZZZZ!!! My friend Brian Kuhns of Fort Wayne Homes for Sale fame nudged me a few times to keep me awake. Thanks Brian!
Finally, 4 o clock! Time to go! We all get sworn in, get our certificates and our little REALTOR pins! SAHWEEEEET!!!!!
I rush home because I have a few showings with a nice couple that is just starting in flipping houses at 5:30. No time for dinner, just enough time to come home, check emails, and off my wife and I go! We meet our clients and show them a few houses. We end up standing around talking for about an hour about house flipping, their goals, and our misadventures in house flipping. Very cool people, glad to have them as clients.
On the way to dinner I call another client that is putting the finishing touches on his house that we are listing soon. We didn't think he would be ready for a while, but he tells me he will be ready this weekend to get it on the market. SAHWEEEET AGAIN!!
We grab a few chili dogs at the Green Frog and then head home. On the way home we pass by a house that one of our other clients is flipping. Wow is all I can say. They just had the landscaping done and it looks incredible! All they have to do now is paint the outside and put the finishing touches on it and it's BLOCK PARTY/OPEN HOUSE TIME!! We are going to sell that sucker FAST!!!!
So yeah, all in all it was a GREAT DAY! I love this game!!!! I can't imagine doing anything else!
