This blog is dedicated to Scotty's Castle in Death Valley and Scotty himself.

If you have never been to Scotty's Castle it is a must see and he was a remarkable man.

I am posting this blog in remembrance of Scotty and to the EXPRESS WITH PHOTOGRAPHS AT ACTIVERAIN  group.

I formed this group when I first joined Activerain and it is one of my favorite groups with some great members.

Here are just a few pics from Scotty's Castle in Death Valley and Scotty himself would be excited if he were around to read this post himself. There is a brass sign with some of Scotty's words that he lived by and I found he words to be very interesting.

I've read so much about Scotty's Castle, but it's one of the few places West of the Mississippi that I have not been. I'll get there, though.

That looks like quite a place, Robert.  I've never been to Death Valley (been over it a few hundred times) but this castle looks like a "required" stop if I get out that way.

Hi Vegas Bob—I haven't been to Death Valley since I was a kid, but I'd like to return and see Scotty's castle in person. Scotty's words exemplify the man himself... my kinda guy! Thanks for more terrific photos of a very interesting place. Have a great day!

Love the photo of the Scotty's words to live by. His nose looks like it has been rubbed thousands of times. I wonder if there is some sort good luck thing with that? Great photos as always. Need to put that on my places to visit list.

Robert, I love these photos!  The snow in the background is great!  it is something that I wouldn't associate with Death Valley, even with the mountains around it.  Great advice to live by.
