In these days of diminished savings and investment accounts, foreclosures, job loss, elevated gang warfare, public shootings and clinical depression...less is more. So here goes...

"When emotion goes up intelligence goes down".

Ahhh...logic that resonates through my only the truth can. I originally heard this sentence from Blair Singer, author of Sales Dogs, during a workshop I attended a few years ago. Short - sweet - memorable.

When life reaches out to bite you in the a** take 10 deep breathes while repeating this phrase to yourself.  I guarantee the fog in your mind will clear and your natural ability to deal with whatever circumstance is before you will take over. 

It's as welcoming as the North Star in a lonely, dark me home!

Oh I needed this after last night.  I had a very emotional and irrate client go off and I just did what you said.  Take a 10 count then tell him good luck on his own.  I wish he could see this advice, he is a professional salesmen and yet he still was able to alienate the sales reps for the two leading projects he wants to buy into.  They have both told him to go away and last night it was my turn to get blasted by him. 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10, thank you X, best of luck finding your dream home and negotiating it.

Its not about the money, it really isnt. 

Whenever I let a guy like this go I find that kharma rewards me with a bunch of good business. :)

Irene and Konnie - it is interesting to see how we all have different trigger points!

Scott - it takes Emotional Intelligence, as Liz pointed to, to know when to not only let "it" go but to let him/her go as well.

Charles - I gather that is a protective mask that you are wearing during a home inspection in the tight space of an attic. I have to tell you...I think of "Alph" when I see this small image on my screen. I liked Alph. He was sassy and real.

Janice - have you ever tried Bikram Yoga? I was sharing with Liz about my experience there. It is so tough - really tough to practice yoga for 90 minutes in a heated sauna. But man I felt so good afterward. It leaves an after glow like you might experience following...oh never mind.
