Trulia is offering free exposure to Realtors that write a "How to blog".

I know the jury is out on if Trulia helps or hurts Realtors. Check this out. They are asking for "How to blogs" from Realtors. They are billing it as a way to reach more consumers for free. At the moment I have not decided if I will contribute, as the number of clients I have received from Trulia is negligible. Some might say getting clients form any source is worth continuing. I am not sure that I agree.

For the over two years I have answered questions on Trulia and I have gotten one sale and a couple of leases out of it. So in my book that is not a screaming success. Plus I have to spend time answering emails from people in other states looking for CMA's on out of state property. They always start out with "you are such a helpful Realtor with so many answers,  I am hoping you can help me too." Of course I can't assist someone in another state with property in that state as I am only licensed by the state of Texas.

So the question is do I write a How to blog for them, or just ignore this plea for more ammo to do away with Realtors.... Hmmmm what would you do?

Below see a portion of their request for Realtor blogs.

Betina - I hate to say it, but I get tired of giving and giving free advice and information with no return on what I do.  I have decided not to be as actively involved in things that do not reward me for my efforts.

Dear Patricia,

I think the jury is still out. That is why I was asking my AR friends for opinions. How do you feel about it?

Dear Troy,

I think you are correct. I too am focusing on marketing and blogging efforts that show some sort of pay off in the end. Like they say "why buy the cow if you get the milk for free."
