Green Building in Brevard, NC or Transylvania County

What is green building?  Green building is going above and beyond local building codes to make homes more energy efficient while improving indoor air quality and reducing environmental impact.  The upfront cost is slightly higher,  however the cost is paid back quickly through reduced utility bills.  Most green building techniques are affordable.  There are only two green improvements (in my opinion) that take a long time to recover your investment which are Solar Panels, and Geo Thermal heat pumps,  niether of which are required to build an Energy Star Home or a Healthy Built Home.  Call Ryan @ Going Green Builders to learn more.  www.goinggreenbuildersonline.com
