Feeling Overwhelmed?

By
Real Estate Agent

I must confess - there have times I've felt overwhelmed.......Sometimes I don't realize how much stress is building up until I suddenly feel overwhelmed. Other times, several stressful or attention-demanding events will happen at once, and I suddenly go from calm to completely overwhelmed really quickly.

Breathing.............do you ever find that you forget to breathe? That you're holding your breath until you've completed a task or finished a thought.......

Deep breathing is something I have to constantly remind myself to do.....There are details you have no control over - those you have to release....you need to ...

Exhale....them...

But....the frenzied thoughts are circulating in your head like vultures feasting!

Breathe....

Ever find that somehow somewhere despite the stress and worrying events will often orchestrate themselves into the right outcome?

And Yet...Control is a tough thing to let go of.....

Have problems delegating?  No one can do it as well.........or by the time you explain it all -its faster to just do it yourself?   Hmmmm...

I envy those that are strong in the orginization department.......they can compartmentalize or focus on one thing at a time...I'll bet those people hardly ever feel overwhelmed.

Me personally.......I think I need to...

Scream sooner........:-)

I think many realtors struggle with organization - and yes an 'assistant' can definitely help solve the problem.  Just by the nature of the personalities that are drawn to this business you can almost guess that it won't be their forte.......\But.......breathing does help - going for a walk - or just taking a mini break can definitely help!

Hot sexy voiced wife -boy Todd aren't you the lucky guy! lol

Jenny - yes underestimating how long something might take - often happens - but usually not so much how long it took - but the interruptions or hiccups along the way - that we don't allow for :-)

Mary - I'm so with you on that (psss I don't actually scream - I just think sometimes it might be a good idea to, lol)

Liz,

I have been having regular monthly massages and find that it helps remind me that I need to slow down!

I like Sheila's answer, a monthly massage, and one of my clients is a massage therapist.  I think I will give her a call...

Oh Liz... I scream...in the car...with the windows rolled up..driving alone on the road.. I heard somewhere it was good for you -- I use to do it almost every morning on my way to my old job -- then I quit  :-)

OOps I got all my responses way out of order!

Carole - late up at night trying to catch up? I used to to do that - but now I find I get up earlier instead.....I can no longer keep my eyes open that late and think straight at the same time ! :-)

Janice D - I can so relate - and do agree - and seldom is the stress worth it or the issue so important - if we can just put it in perspective.......we react usually because we're tired, hungry or sleepless I think!

Missy - delegation is a challenge but sometimes its a matter of survival!

Steve - you sound like an amazingly practical - organized and systematic kind of guy!

JoAnna - I'm so glad - :-)  The scream sooner is all about holding it in all too long - and then the only thing that seems to be left is to vent.......
