I love the buyers who come to me and say they want to buy a foreclosure.
I basically just refer them to a website to do their own research. 9 times out of 10, they're just curious.
So to wet their whistle - I send them to a site like www.foreclosures.com or www.lispendensbytown.com
It kind of keeps them interested and once they find out that finding a foreclosure isn't that easy - they come back and get serious.
I never discourage people from buying a foreclosed home - but if they're 1st time buyers - they really need to educate themselves about it.
